Juspay is a global payments infrastructure company founded in 2012 and headquartered in Bengaluru, India. It operates as a full-stack payments orchestration platform, processing over 300 million transactions daily with annualized total payment volume exceeding $1 trillion. The platform connects enterprises and banks to 300+ payment service providers (PSPs) and local alternative payment methods (APMs) across 50+ countries through a single integration layer, enabling intelligent routing, checkout optimization, 3DS authentication, tokenization, fraud management, and unified reconciliation — all without requiring code changes for each new PSP. The platform is delivered in two complementary forms: (1) Juspay's enterprise managed platform, which powers large Indian and APAC merchants with deep local capabilities such as UPI, BNPL, Netbanking, and mandate management; and (2) Hyperswitch, the world's first open-source modular payments orchestrator (Apache 2.0 license), launched in 2025 for global expansion into US, EU, and UK markets. Hyperswitch allows merchants to self-host the entire payments stack or use Juspay's cloud-hosted version, with modules including intelligent routing, secure token vault, 3DS SDK, APM widgets, payouts, cost observability, and reconciliation — built in Rust for high performance. Juspay's primary customers are large enterprises and banks — including Amazon, Google, Flipkart, HSBC, IndiGo, Swiggy, Agoda, and Zepto — across e-commerce, travel, fintech, and financial services verticals. Key differentiators include its open-source architecture (Linux for Payments), 99.999% uptime SLA, PSP-agnostic infrastructure, and deep India/APAC payment method expertise paired with global expansion capabilities. In January 2026, Juspay became India's first unicorn of the year at a valuation of $1.2 billion.
