Brex Embedded
Embed Brex's global corporate card and payments infrastructure into your B2B software platform.
Overview
Brex Embedded is an API-driven embedded payments infrastructure that allows B2B software vendors — including ERP, procurement, and travel platforms — to integrate Brex's global corporate virtual card and payment capabilities directly into their own products. Rather than building a full card program from scratch (credit underwriting, capital markets risk, fraud, regulatory compliance), partner platforms embed Brex cards through APIs, Mastercard ICCP, or Conferma protocols. End-customers issue single-use or recurring virtual Brex cards inside the partner's interface, enabling local-currency payments in 60+ countries with no FX markups, automated reconciliation using L2/L3 transaction data, and up to 40x higher credit limits than traditional cards. Brex retains full responsibility for underwriting, credit risk, capital markets, and fraud management. The product is not a traditional white-label card — partners embed actual Brex-branded cards within the partner workflow. The commercial model creates a new revenue stream for partners (through interchange sharing) while giving end-customers Brex's rewards and global card acceptance (Mastercard, 200+ markets). Integration approaches range from full API builds to no-code embedding via existing payment protocols. End-customer onboarding can be completed in days because Brex handles all KYC and credit underwriting centrally. Partner categories include procurement (Coupa, Zip), travel management (Navan, Sabre), and ERP (Oracle Fusion Cloud). Launched in September 2024 and backed by an expanded Mastercard partnership, Brex Embedded crossed $2 billion in annualized payment volume by September 2025. In December 2025, Brex announced a multi-year partnership with Fifth Third Bank making Brex Embedded the infrastructure for $5.6 billion of Fifth Third's annual commercial card volume. In October 2025, Brex became the first fintech issuer embedded directly into Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP. Capital One announced acquisition of Brex for $5.15B in January 2026 (pending close mid-2026).
