Overview

Worklio offers a white-label HRIS and payroll engine that PEOs (Professional Employer Organizations), ASOs (Administrative Services Organizations), and software companies license and resell to their own end-customers under their own brand. Rather than building HR and payroll software from scratch — or licensing a third-party product their customers can recognize — Worklio's partners deploy a fully customized HRIS that looks and feels native to their brand, embedded via iFrames, pre-built components, or a deep REST API surface of 1,000+ endpoints. The platform covers payroll, tax filing, benefits administration, time and attendance, onboarding, and ACA reporting. Worklio's US tax filing capability covers all 50 states plus Puerto Rico, including W-2, 1099, ACA, and federal/state/local jurisdictions. The platform supports both ACH money movement (US) and is architected for multi-country deployment via its European engineering DNA. White-label go-live can be as fast as 3 weeks. The architecture is partner-first: Worklio sees its customers as resellers and PEOs, not direct end-customers — there is no Worklio-branded consumer product. The company maintains SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27018, and ISO 9001 certifications. Founded in 2017 by Robert Österlund (CEO, previously founded Xacti Group in 2002), with commercial headquarters in Miami, FL and engineering in Brno, Czech Republic. Bootstrapped — approximately $20M raised from friends and family with zero institutional VC. ARR of approximately $6.5M as of 2025 across ~59 employees. Notable PEO and SaaS customers include FrankCrum (70,000 worksite employees), DecisionHR (~30,000 WSEs), and hh2 Cloud Services (construction software serving 250,000+ workers).
