Overview
Finch is the unified employment API for the US — often described as the "Plaid for payroll/HR." Through a single REST API and SDKs, Finch normalizes data and write-back operations across 250+ payroll and HRIS providers (Gusto, ADP, Rippling, BambooHR, Workday, Paychex, Paylocity, and many more), letting fintechs and software platforms read employment data (organizations, employees, compensation, deductions, employment status) and write back changes (new deductions, contributions, employee updates). The Finch Connect UI is an embeddable widget that handles end-user authentication and consent across all providers in a unified flow. Finch's core products include Organization (employer and employee data), Payroll (pay statements, taxes), and Deductions (write-back of benefits and 401(k) contributions), plus a Documents API in beta. Primary use cases include 401(k) and retirement (Human Interest, Guideline, Ubiquity), benefits administration (Thatch), HR tools (Trainual), compliance automation (Secureframe), and embedded lending/EWA where employment verification is required. Pricing is publicly anchored at $65/month per connection (Starter tier) with Pro and Premier tiers offered on volume-discounted custom pricing.
